Sky Holding Company, LLC is a San Francisco-based
commercial aircraft lessor and aircraft management company.
Sky was founded in September 2007 by its President and CEO
Rich Wiley. The company is staffed to fulfill all of the
company's management, legal, marketing, finance, technical,
and IT/operations functions. All of the company's employees
previously worked at Pegasus Aviation Finance Company, Inc.,
which traces its roots back to the foundation in 1988 of Pegasus
("PAFCO")by Rich Wiley and General Counsel Carol Chase. At the
time of its sale in June 2007, PAFCO was one of the world's largest
commercial aircraft lessors, with a $3 billion balance sheet,
a fleet of over 200 aircraft, and a worldwide customer base of
approximately 100 airlines.
Sky currently owns and manages a portfolio of over 90
aircraft. The company's principal business is the ownership
and/or management of long-term aircraft leases to passenger
and cargo airlines worldwide. The management team at Sky
has strong relationships with both manufacturers, as well the
world's airlines and financial institutions. Sky's management
team, including CEO Rich Wiley, COO Scott Weiss, and
EVP & General Counsel Carol Chase, has a strong industry
reputation for being both innovators and customer oriented.
Building on these strengths, Sky plans to increase its owned
aircraft fleet through a variety of sale-leaseback transactions directly
with airlines and orders with manufacturers in the coming years.
